Everdeen Earrings Giveaway

That's right folks! You heard it here- Monday marked Sew, Mama, Sew's Giveaway Day!  Giveaway Day is awesome, to put it frankly, and it is a chance for you to win many, many amazing handcrafted items from some very talented crafters. Bloggers and shop owners are giving away fabric, handmade bags, items for the home, jewelry, and accessories - the list goes on and on!

I happy to announce that I am participating for a second time.  My giveaway back in December was such a success and I was so happy to make new blog friends through it all.  This time around I am giving away a pair of earrings from my Summer collection, which will be released near the end of June.

Like the Atenas Earrings, this pair is adorned with hammered copper tear drop shapes that give the earrings a very organic look. Faceted Labradorite coin-shapped beads are suspended at center and wire wrapped to a  vintage, raw brass chain.  The earrings are finished with hand-forged brass ear wires.

Now, on to the giveaway, shall we.  One winner will be chosen at random, but in order for you to enter you MUST answer a particular question of mine in the comment section.  I'm looking for new summer reading and I'd love to hear what you all have to recommend for me!  I just finished up the Hunger Games (book one) and once that series is over with, I'll be itching for a new read.  And as a side note, the Everdeen Earrings may or may not have been named as such because of my most recent read. *wink*

So, in the comments, please tell me:

WHAT BOOK(S) DO YOU THINK I SHOULD ADD TO MY SUMMER READING LIST?

It's as simple as that.  I'm also offering up a second chance to win if you are a follower of my blog (as a thank you).  You in no way have to follow my blog to participate, but if you do- please let me know in a SECOND comment!

One winner will be chosen at random on Saturday morning (9:00 AM), May 26th!  If you do not have an email attached to your profile, please be sure to leave it in the comments so that I can contact you.  Also, if you are running a giveaway- let me know! I'd love to swing on by. :)

And one more thing: I will ship INTERNATIONALLY!

Best of luck everyone!!

I am on book 3 of the Hunger Games (The Mockingjay), and since I don't have much time for fiction reading, it's hard for me to say. :-) However, I in between the Hunger Games I read "Heaven is for Real." Surprisingly, I think I got as much or more from the father's sharing of difficulties as I did the son's revelations.
Come by and check out www.touchingfamilies.blogspot.com if you have time.

I have two amazing labradorite necklaces and would love to pair them with your earrings.
Today I am catching up on Red Mist by Patricia Cornwell. Then I have some Miss Julia books by Ann Ross that make me laugh. Also will read Mary Kay Andrews books - they make me laugh out loud. Some Rita Mae Brown and Janet Evanovich will round out the fiction.

Beautiful Earings! I really enjoyed the Wilderness series by Sara Donati lately. I've been trying to get hold of a copy of the hunger games but it has like 30 reserves on it at the local library! Thanks for the chance to win

Following the Hunger Games trilogy is rough - it needs some time to marinate in the brain! A light-hearted choice (but still lots of story packed in each book) to follow might be Jasper FForde's Thursday Next series. It's a little screwball, a little dystopian, and a lot of meta-literary.

Beautiful earrings - thank you for offering such a beautiful giveaway!

Oh, what beautiful earrings! There are SO many good books out there, but I'd suggest the Lord of the Ring series, which I am reading right now. I'm having a lot of fun with them so far.

I love the Green Rider series and my sis reads the Honor Harrington ones if you're in to space sci-fi/military. Also the 7 Miracles that Saved America is really good.

If you liked the Hunger Games, try Divergent by Veronica Roth. The second book just came out at the beginning of May and there's more to come. :)

My kids don't give me much free reading time, but when they do I sometimes like to unwind by reading something amusing. If you are in the mood for humor, I can recommend Dave Barry, Erma Bombeck or Jean Kerr! Gorgeous earrings... thanks for the great giveaway!

If you're looking for something deeper, I'd suggest The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson or The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. Lighter reads - The Girl Who Chased the Moon or The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen.

I ADORED The Hunger Games! Literally could not put it down. If you're looking for a similar themed book (that's a tad dark) I recommend The Road by Cormac McCarthy. If you're in need of lighter reading with some depth, I highly recommend The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.

Gorgeous earrings! If you're into post-apocalyptic teen fiction (I loved The Hunger Games, too), there's a series by James Dashner that starts with The Maze Runner. If you want classic lit, The Unbearable Lightness of Being was surprisingly funny and accessible. And If you want non-fiction, Born on a Blue Day by Daniel Tammett is pretty cool.

Abby said...

You should read The Fault in Our Stars by John Green! It's an amazing book. But be prepared to feel a lot of emotions!

Thanks for doing the giveaway! I love the earrings!

Oh, your earrings are beautiful! Thanks for the tip to come over! I would love to get a chance to wear them! :)

For the summer readings:

If you like fantasy as well as good human interactions I would recommend the song of ice and fire of George RR Martin! I waited for years for the latest book of the series and even if the HBO series the made out of the books is great, I hated it because it was the reason for another one or two year delay of the book! ^^

For urban fantasy there is only one really great author for me: Patricia Briggs! The only one with reasonable and understandable characters which are beliveable :)

Apart from the fantasy stuff I always love to read for example from Pascal Mercier, Carlos Ruiz Zafón and of course Gabriel García Márquez!

For a very fluffy summer read, I just finished "The Last Boyfriend" by Nora Roberts (2nd in a series). Relationships, romance and a little "other-worldliness" (sorry if that's not a word). Not my typical read, but definitely light fun. Beautiful earrings!
