About

 Hello, and welcome.
My name is Amy and this, dear readers, is my blog.  By day, I am  an architectural stained glass historian, by night, a self taught jewelry artisan and budding sewist.

Helen Ethel Studio chronicles my adventures and misadventures in crafting and baking in an oh so tiny, one bedroom apartment in Philadelphia occupied by me, my boyfriend, and our non-existent pets little beagle. What you can look forward to: lengthy ramblings regarding fabrics; an assortment of recipes; polymer clay; and the unavoidable frustrations and jubilations as I venture into the world of sewing.

Please, grab a cup of tea and enjoy your visit.  I welcome all of your comments and am always delighted to read them!

If you have any questions for me, or would just like to say hello, please feel free to email me.  Danke!
